Our silica gel units are designed for sealed, low-traffic spaces up to 500 cubic feet, and a combined sports wardrobe and shoe room with daily use and constant air exchange is simply outside that range. The continuous door openings replenish moisture faster than passive absorption can keep pace. For an actively used space like yours, a powered electric dehumidifier, like our EDV-4000, would be a much better fit.
